Field Manager About Us Copper Canyon Homes builds custom homes throughout the Treasure Valley. We run a tight, quality-driven operation — clean job sites, disciplined schedules, and long-term trade partner relationships. We are not a volume builder chasing cycle time at the expense of the finished product, and we expect our field leadership to hold that line. The Role We're hiring a Superintendent to take full field ownership of 4-8 active homes from dirt through closing. You are the single point of accountability for schedule, quality, safety, and trade performance on every house you run. This is a boots-on-the-ground role — you'll be in the field daily, not behind a desk. What You'll Do Schedule & Coordination Maintain and drive the construction schedule for each assigned home and immediately report any schedule delays to the Field Manager Confirm trade partners 48-72 hours ahead of every scheduled start; escalate no-shows and manpower shortfalls same-day Coordinate material deliveries against the schedule to prevent site congestion, damage, and theft Track and document schedule slippage with root cause — weather, trade, supply, or design — and own the recovery plan Quality Control Perform documented QC inspections at all key milestones: pre-pour, foundation, framing, MEP rough-in, insulation, drywall, and finish Hold trades to plan, spec, and manufacturer installation requirements — reject non-conforming work before the next trade covers it Review shop drawings, truss packages, and structural details against the field before work proceeds Manage punch and buyer walkthroughs; drive items to closure without dragging the schedule Inspections & Compliance Schedule and pass all City of Eagle / Ada County (and applicable jurisdiction) inspections on the first attempt Maintain current plans, permits, and approved revisions on site Enforce site safety, OSHA compliance, SWPPP requirements, and daily site cleanliness Budget & Documentation Approve trade work in the field and validate invoices and variance purchase orders against work actually completed Identify and document scope gaps, change orders, and back-charges as they occur — not at closeout Maintain daily logs with photos, manpower counts, weather, deliveries, and issues Communication Be willing to meet with homeowners on custom and pre-sold homes; set expectations clearly and communicate proactively Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and design on selections, deadlines, and buyer changes Lead trade partner accountability conversations directly and professionally What You Bring Required 3+ years running new residential construction as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, or lead field manager Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans and identify conflicts before they hit the field Working knowledge of residential building codes and the inspection process Proven ability to manage multiple homes at different stages simultaneously Comfort with construction management software and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record Willingness to hold trades accountable — directly, respectfully, and consistently Preferred Experience in the Treasure Valley market with established local trade relationships Background in a specific trade (framing, concrete, or mechanical) before moving into management Familiarity with high-end finish work, custom millwork, and specialty systems (pools, outdoor kitchens, standing-seam roofing) OSHA 30 certification What We Offer Very competitive salary Paid time off and paid holidays A builder that backs its supers when they hold the quality line
