Job Description

Position Overview Axial Energy Services is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to oversee all electrical activities on utility‑scale energy infrastructure projects. Acting as the Owner's representative in the field, this role is responsible for supervising contractor teams, ensuring strict safety and quality compliance, and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems. This position requires temporary residence near the project site throughout completion. Axial provides mobilization assistance and per diem allowance. Additionally, a company vehicle will be furnished for project-related use and daily commute with fuel included. This position is not a craft construction role. Responsibilities Serve as the owner's representative for electrical scope, overseeing third-party contractors during installation of DC systems, MV AC systems, and associated infrastructure. Monitor and enforce compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Coordinate with EPC contractors, engineers, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues in real time. Oversee installation of SCADA, instrumentation, and protection systems, ensuring seamless integration. Manage electrical startup, testing, commissioning, and energization activities. Document progress, issues, and resolutions for transparent reporting to project stakeholders. Champion safety culture on site, conducting inspections and ensuring adherence to lockout/tagout and other critical procedures. Qualifications 5+ years of electrical construction leadership experience, preferable in utility-scale solar or large-scale energy projects Strong knowledge of MV (up to 35kV) and DC systems, including string and central inverter configurations Proven ability to reach and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Experience documenting construction activities OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) and a deep commitment to safety Excellent communication skills for interfacing with contractors, engineers, and project managers Preferred Utility or EPC experience NETA familiarity Experience with commissioning or energization support
