Construction Estimator/ Project Manager

Job Description

Job Summary JK Forever Homes is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This position will work on both residential and commercial construction projects and will be involved from estimating and pre-construction through scheduling, project management, completion, and closeout. We are looking for someone who understands construction, can accurately estimate projects, manage multiple jobs, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, monitor budgets, and keep projects moving. This is a hands-on position that includes both office and field responsibilities. Duties Prepare detailed estimates for residential and commercial construction projects Complete material takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor budgets Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, bid documents, and project requirements Request and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing Prepare project proposals and assist with bid submissions Identify scope gaps, exclusions, allowances, and potential cost concerns Develop and maintain project budgets Track project costs and identify potential overruns Prepare and manage change orders Develop and maintain construction schedules Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and project milestones Conduct regular jobsite visits Monitor workmanship, progress, scheduling, and jobsite conditions Make sure subcontractors understand their scope of work Coordinate material orders and long-lead items Help resolve project and jobsite issues Maintain accurate project documentation Assist with pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, punch lists, and project closeout Communicate with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and inspectors Help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to project requirements Qualifications Construction experience required Residential and/or commercial construction experience Estimating and project management experience preferred Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Strong understanding of construction materials, labor, and subcontractor scopes Experience with takeoffs, estimating, and project budgeting preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects at once Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, quality, and scope Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, estimating software, and project-management systems Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Join our team to be part of innovative projects that shape communities! Pay:
$69,185.56 - $75,000.00 per year
