Job Description:
Summary Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on construction project sites. Oversee the day-to-day operations of work performed, including work performed by subcontracted vendors. Responsibilities Maintain project safety in accordance with all safety requirements and enforce all policies Identify and manage all safety hazards related to the general public Construct the project in accordance with plans, specifications, and standard work practices Work closely with the project team to ensure all required paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time Supervise craft workers assigned to the project Plan work schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc. Maintain schedule to avoid unnecessary overtime and extended general conditions; ensure craft time cards accurately reflect hours worked Report equipment hours weekly for all equipment utilized Coordinate the delivery, storage, and efficient use of project materials Ensure all layout is accurate and communicated clearly to all trades Skills and Abilities Ability to understand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings/documents Strong project management and organizational planning skills Excellent verbal and written communication across all knowledge levels Ability to lead and work as part of a team Prior direct profit and loss responsibility and accountability Excellent customer service and client-relationship development skills Thorough understanding of basic and complex construction management processes and building techniques Comprehensive knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, craft agreements, negotiations, engineering, estimating, scheduling, and safety Strong supervisory and organizational skills Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and engineering drawings/documents; ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance Certifications and Licenses Valid driver's license with a good driving record required
