Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Construction to lead and oversee large-scale infrastructure and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget goals. Manage project teams including project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to foster collaboration and accountability. Oversee project scheduling using advanced project management software such as Primavera P6 or Prolog to coordinate construction schedules effectively. Monitor construction budgets meticulously, controlling costs through accurate estimating, cost management strategies, and proactive risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with all construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies across multiple sites. Develop and review construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings utilizing tools like Civil 3D and Bluebeam for accuracy and clarity. Implement quality control procedures to uphold high standards of workmanship throughout all phases of construction. Utilize construction management software including ProCore, HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite, and other project management tools for documentation, reporting, and communication. Drive project progress through effective coordination of schedules, resources, and stakeholder expectations while managing project risks proactively. Foster a culture of safety, quality excellence, and continuous improvement within all teams involved in the projects. Requirements Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects with a strong track record of successful delivery. Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Primavera P3 along with construction estimating expertise. Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and control costs effectively across multiple projects. Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment; excellent project coordination capabilities. Deep understanding of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and regulatory compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with construction site operations including safety protocols and quality assurance practices. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
