Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Manager specializing in the unique demands of a specialty construction company. Responsibilities Employee Management
- Process employee requests for time off.
- Respond to requests for employment verifications for current and former employees.
- Assist employees with employment-related questions, grievances or issues.
- Assist scheduling training
- Process employee evaluations when due.
- Process Attendance and Safety Warnings, fines, suspensions, etc.
Unemployment:
Process claims, file protests, notify DLLR of return to work dates on layoffs, review quarterly Benefit Payment Charge statement for accuracy
- Office Management Employee Records Track attendance, warnings, maintain documentation on all employees, etc.
Scan and file all ID's, OSHA, New Hire certifications Monitor training and certification expiration dates of , DOT documents, immigration employment authorization, driver's licenses, passports. Send notifications to employees, update in Foundations, scan and file. Maintain separate DOT files for CDL employees Process terminated employees Maintain Employee Handbook Employee Onboarding
- Electronic onboarding of new employees.
- Manage employee orientations including reviewing Company policies and procedures with new hires, required paperwork, and setting up personnel records.
Employment Compliance Maintain and implement E-Verify Program Report New Hires to Maryland New Hire Registry Submit annual reports to EEO; Maintain EEO log of all applicants 1-9 Compliance Drug Testing Program New Employee, DOT compliance, job specific, reasonable cause Oversee Evaluations & Compliance for positive drug screen employees referred to EAP Human Resources Manager
- Maintain monthly Davis Bacon reports & YTD totals Maintain and update weekly Pension Loan spreadsheet Weekly update of employee census information to Ascensus Maintain all record keeping throughout the year for annual IRS Audit.
Approve all Distribution Requests Monthly, Quarterly & Annual compliance for 401k reports, RMD's, low balance accounts, etc Quarterly investment review meetings with Digital One Bi-Annual meeting with Ascensus to review Plan Annual Discrimination Testing Annual IRS Audit Submit 5500 DOT Compliance Record keeping Drug testing Annual records review Insurance
- Review insurance policies for open enrollment and make final determinations
- Maintain ongoing employee insurance eligibility dates spreadsheet; Notify Insurance Administrator monthly
Pay:
$63,114.75 - $76,009.16 per year
