Job overview We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Project Foreman to oversee day-to-day field operations and support the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of construction experience, including experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, and a solid understanding of commercial construction. Experience with metal framing, drywall installation, acoustical ceiling installation, and carpentry is strongly preferred. Hands-on field experience performing these trades, particularly carpentry, is a plus. The Project Foreman will be responsible for supervising field personnel, coordinating daily work activities, monitoring production and quality, enforcing safety requirements, and communicating project progress to the Superintendent and/or Project Manager. Responsibilities Supervise field crews and coordinate daily construction activities to maintain productivity and project schedules. Assign and communicate daily work activities, priorities, and production expectations to field personnel. Monitor daily and weekly production progress and report project status to the Superintendent and/or Project Manager. Review project schedules and plan upcoming manpower, materials, equipment, and work activities. Maintain a minimum three-day look-ahead of anticipated work and production needs. Ensure work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contract requirements. Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and other project documents. Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and address quality or workmanship concerns. Enforce company safety policies, project-specific safety requirements, and applicable OSHA standards. Conduct or assist with daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard reviews as required. Maintain accurate daily documentation, including manpower, production progress, site conditions, and other required field reports. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and other trades as necessary to support project operations. Identify field issues, delays, material shortages, or other potential impacts and promptly communicate them to project management. Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and professional jobsite. Provide leadership, direction, and support to field personnel while promoting accountability, teamwork, and quality workmanship. Qualifications & Skills 5 years of relevant construction experience, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. Knowledge of commercial construction practices and field operations. Knowledge of metal framing, drywall installation, and/or carpentry strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documents. Ability to plan daily work activities and effectively delegate tasks to field personnel. Ability to track daily and weekly production and identify upcoming project needs. Ability to plan work activities at least three days in advance based on the project schedule. Strong understanding of construction quality-control practices. Working knowledge of construction safety requirements and OSHA regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound field decisions and communicate issues requiring management attention. Ability to work effectively with employees, subcontractors, project management, clients, and other project stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. OSHA 10 certification or higher preferred but not required. First Aid/CPR certification preferred but not required. Experience operating construction equipment or machinery is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to assigned project locations. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
