Job Description
General Manager - Marine Construction Job Summary We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a marine construction company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine construction, with experience leading operations, managing projects, developing employees, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands the marine construction industry and can help drive the company's continued growth and success. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day company operations and project execution Manage and support project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field crews Monitor project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall profitability Work closely with ownership and leadership to establish company goals and strategies Develop and maintain relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and business partners Assist with estimating, bidding, and business development efforts Review contracts, proposals, and project requirements Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably Identify opportunities for growth and new business Recruit, develop, and retain employees Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed Qualifications 8+ years of experience in marine construction or a closely related heavy construction industry Previous experience in a senior management, operations, or general management role Strong understanding of marine construction, including pile driving, dredging, waterfront structures, or related work Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams Strong financial and project management understanding Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Strong relationships within the marine construction industry preferred Ability to travel as needed Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required Benefits Base salary (depending on experience) Performance-based bonus opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off and company holidays Long-term career growth with a well-established heavy civil/marine contractor Send resume to mitchell.guerrieri@gogpac.com for more information
