Job Description

We are looking for an experienced construction superintendent who can lead our labor crew and subcontractors. You'll help our construction company plan and manage projects from start to finish for homeowners. Additional responsibilities include daily scheduling, maintaining the safety and compliance of a construction site, and supervising all activities. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of construction field experience, with leadership skills in managing general contractors, highly preferred. Compensation:
$60,000 - $70,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Certify that each building project delivers a high-quality end product, oversee construction staff, and perform on-site assessments daily Minimize injuries and delays on building projects by requiring complete attention to health and safety standards, and report any issues to the project manager when they occur Review subcontractor output concerning schedules and success targets to ensure that the project is on track to be completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards required Keep a daily record of project progress and home improvements for the project manager and the homeowner
Qualifications:
Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills Stamina for operating heavy equipment and lifting 40 pounds or more General contractor's license required 18 months of experience in construction, restoration, or renovations Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, and reports Ability to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule Experience with Xactimate is a huge plus Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask Must be self-disciplined to consistently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment About Company Since 1986, Concraft has provided emergency restoration and reconstruction services throughout the Greater Detroit Metro Area and Southeast Michigan.
