Job Summary Randahl Construction is seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Coordinator to help coordinate the daily execution of active construction projects. This position will work approximately 50/50 in office and in the field , serving as a key connection between management, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and sales. The Construction Coordinator will oversee field scheduling, monitor job progress, coordinate subcontractors and materials, oversee field timekeeping, and proactively identify issues that could impact project schedules or costs. This is not a Project Manager position; the primary focus of this role is the coordination and execution of field operations, ensuring projects are properly staffed, scheduled, supplied, and progressing efficiently. The ideal candidate has a strong construction background, particularly in commercial remodeling and concrete, and understands how construction phases, manpower, subcontractors, materials, and scheduling work together to keep projects moving. Key Responsibilities Maintain and coordinate schedules across active projects, including field crew assignments, construction phases, and subcontractor work. Communicate regularly with crew supervisors to monitor job progress, identify setbacks, and adjust schedules as needed. Coordinate subcontractor work, including soliciting and comparing bids and scheduling work according to project needs. Obtain and compare material and product quotes and coordinate purchasing based on project requirements, pricing, availability, and lead times. Proactively coordinate material orders and deliveries to prevent project delays. Monitor field crew timekeeping to ensure accurate and timely clock-ins and clock-outs at assigned jobsites. Regularly visit active jobsites to monitor progress, upcoming needs, and potential issues affecting project schedules or costs. Identify work or conditions outside the original contracted scope and communicate potential change orders to the sales team. Communicate scheduling, material, subcontractor, and field concerns to management and maintain accurate project information within company systems. Qualifications Previous construction industry experience required. Experience with commercial remodeling, concrete construction, general contracting, or similar construction work strongly preferred. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, jobsite operations, and project workflow. Ability to read and understand project scopes, plans, and construction documents. Strong organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate multiple active projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, management, and sales. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly as field conditions, schedules, and priorities change. Ability to recognize work that may fall outside the contracted project scope. Comfortable obtaining bids, comparing pricing, and coordinating purchasing decisions. Strong computer skills and ability to learn construction management and scheduling software. Buildertrend or similar construction management software experience preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between the office and active jobsites. Working Conditions Approximately 50% office-based and 50% active jobsite/field-based. This is an in-person position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Regular travel between the Corcoran office and project locations. Exposure to active commercial construction and concrete jobsites. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules and priorities frequently change. Appropriate PPE and adherence to all company and jobsite safety requirements are required while onsite.
