Job Description

Home & Community Services Supervisor Residential | Day Program | Community Off-Site Full-Time | RISE Community Services Starting Wage $21.00/hr. DOE Why You'll Want to Work at RISE You're ready for more than your next job—you're ready to lead people, make decisions, improve how things work, and grow your career. At RISE, we invest in our employees through 100% employer-paid health insurance, paid time off, retirement matching, tuition reimbursement, paid training, professional development, and opportunities for continued growth. You'll join a mission-driven organization that values connection, engagement, belonging, and developing the next generation of leaders. What You'll Get to Own You'll lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and help make sure the people we serve receive safe, consistent, person-centered support every day. You'll coach employees, manage daily operations and staffing, monitor documentation and service quality, solve problems, and help your team understand not only what is expected—but why it matters. This isn't a supervisor position where you sit back and wait for problems to reach you. We're looking for someone who notices issues early, communicates clearly, develops people, holds expectations, and follows through. Depending on your experience and strengths, your team may be in one of three areas: Residential — Lead staff who support individuals in their homes with everyday life, independence, routines, and personal goals. Day Program — Lead staff who create engaging days focused on activities, skill development, independence, and meaningful participation. Community Off-Site — Lead teams providing support in community settings while promoting independence, inclusion, and meaningful community experiences. You'll Have the Opportunity to Lead, coach, and develop Direct Support Professionals Coordinate staffing, schedules, and daily operations Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable Provide feedback, coaching, and support for employee development Monitor documentation, support plans, service quality, and compliance Build strong communication with employees, individuals, families, and leadership Respond to concerns, behavioral situations, and emergencies with confidence Identify problems early and help create practical solutions Improve team routines, communication, workflows, and consistency Support onboarding and training of new team members Step into direct support when needed while remaining focused on leading the team Help employees grow into stronger DSPs and future leaders You May Be a Great Fit If You Enjoy helping employees become better at what they do Can be supportive without avoiding accountability Are comfortable setting expectations and following up Don't walk past a problem and assume someone else will handle it Can stay calm and make decisions when things don't go as planned Communicate clearly, even when the conversation is difficult Are organized enough to manage people, schedules, documentation, and competing priorities Build relationships while maintaining professional boundaries Can delegate instead of trying to do everything yourself Notice patterns and look for solutions—not just quick fixes Lead by example and are willing to step in when your team truly needs you Want to grow as a leader and develop more leaders around you What You'll Need You'll need a high school diploma or GED, experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a related caregiving/direct-support environment, and the ability to successfully complete RISE's required training and background requirements. Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. You'll also need a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur's license within 14 days of hire. Depending on your assigned program, the position may include varied hours, community-based work, mobility assistance, and responding to unexpected staffing or service needs. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can lead people—not just complete tasks. About
RISE RISE
Community Services creates opportunities for individuals with disabilities to live, work, and engage meaningfully in their communities. If you're ready to move beyond simply doing the work and start developing people, solving problems, building stronger teams, and helping others succeed, we'd like to meet you. Bring your leadership. Bring your accountability. Bring your willingness to grow. Help us build the next generation of RISE leaders.
