Knife River is seeking a Construction Manager to lead heavy civil and commercial projects from planning through closeout. In this role, you will coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to deliver work safely, on time, and within budget. You will review plans, schedules, and estimates; ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards; and maintain strong communication with clients, inspectors, and internal teams. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities on assigned projects. Manage project schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials to meet deadlines and budgets. Enforce Knife River and regulatory safety standards; lead daily safety meetings and inspections. Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and applicable codes. Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and superintendents on project planning and problem-solving. Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and vendors, verifying work and quantities. Track costs, quantities, and productivity; assist with change orders and documentation. Communicate regularly with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders on project status. Prepare and maintain project logs, reports, and documentation for closeout. Support training and development of field staff and promote a teamwork-focused culture.
