Its teams provide plumbing expertise throughout the full construction lifecycle, from preconstruction planning and procurement through installation, closeout, and ongoing service. Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Multifamily Plumbing Project Manager to manage projects throughout the Greensboro and Winston-Salem area. This is a full-time position with responsibility for the commercial, operational, and administrative performance of multiple plumbing projects from turnover through final closeout. The Project Manager will work closely with Superintendents and field teams to develop project schedules, coordinate manpower and material requirements, manage budgets, and ensure commitments to clients are met. The role requires someone who can maintain control of project financials while also understanding the practical demands of plumbing installation in the field. Key responsibilities include reviewing contracts and project documents, managing submittals and RFIs, procuring materials and equipment, monitoring costs, preparing change-order proposals, and maintaining accurate project forecasts. The Project Manager will act as a primary point of contact for general contractors, vendors, design teams, and internal stakeholders, helping resolve issues before they affect schedule, quality, or profitability. Key Responsibilities Manage multifamily plumbing projects from initial handover through completion and closeout. Develop project plans covering schedule, procurement, manpower, billing, and key milestones. Review contracts, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and estimates to confirm project requirements. Partner with Superintendents to coordinate field operations and ensure crews have the information, materials, and equipment required. Prepare, track, and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and project correspondence. Monitor project budgets, labour productivity, committed costs, billing, cash flow, and profitability. Maintain accurate cost projections and provide regular project-status reporting to company leadership. Build and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, developers, vendors, inspectors, and design teams. Coordinate material purchasing and deliveries to support the construction schedule and minimise delays. Lead or participate in project meetings and clearly communicate outstanding items, schedule concerns, and proposed solutions. Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, and potential cost or schedule risks before they affect project performance. Support quality-control, safety, commissioning, punch-list, and closeout activities. Ensure project documentation is complete, organised, and maintained throughout the job. Qualifications Previous project management experience with a plumbing or mechanical contractor. Strong experience managing multifamily construction projects; additional commercial plumbing experience is beneficial. Solid understanding of plumbing systems, installation sequencing, materials, equipment, and applicable codes. Ability to read and interpret plumbing plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and MEP coordination drawings. Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, cost forecasts, billing, change orders, and labour productivity. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Confident communicator capable of working effectively with field teams, general contractors, clients, vendors, and company leadership. Proactive problem-solving approach and the ability to make commercially sound decisions. Familiarity with construction management, estimating, scheduling, and document-control software. High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential. Plumbing trade experience, apprenticeship training, or relevant licensure would be advantageous. Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and the ability to visit projects throughout the Greensboro/Winston-Salem region.

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
