Job Description
Job Description The Senior Construction Superintendent oversees daily field activities on large, multi-contract public projects. Working under an Engineer-in-Charge, this role coordinates contractors, monitors schedules and milestones, enforces safety and quality standards, and ensures work follows contract documents. The superintendent documents inspections and meetings, supports issue resolution, and maintains regular communication with client agencies and third-party testing providers on secure and non-secure sites. Responsibilities Monitor and coordinate daily on-site construction activities across multiple contracts under direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Ensure all work complies with contract documents, construction management plans, and applicable procedures. Track progress against approved schedules and milestones, addressing delays or field issues with project teams. Oversee required inspections, testing coordination, and documentation of work progress, meetings, and quality control. Communicate regularly with client agency representatives and third-party testing consultants to coordinate field activities. Support job coordination meetings, reporting site status, risks, and needed decisions. Promote and enforce site safety and security requirements, including OSHA 30 practices. Identify field conflicts or constructability issues and recommend practical solutions to minimize impact.
