! In this role, you will: Supervise direct support professionals in the implementation of the person-centered program plan, through observation and review of progress and setbacks, and recommend courses of action to ensure direct support professionals meet residents' daily living needs. Assist, welcome, and be the point person with training and helping new DSP staff become familiar with residents and DSP responsibilities. Conduct daily checks and monitor DSP data information. Assist ICF Supervisor with completing daily assignment sheets for shifts, ensuring accuracy and that information is reflected accurately. Ensure all community outings and medical appointments are fulfilled daily. Provide direct support for people supported by assisting with daily living skills (i.e., toileting, showering, dressing, feeding, etc.). Provide in-service training by teaching new employees work rules and procedures from the training manual, shadowing, and offering feedback to ensure proper performance of duties.
We require:
High School Diploma Valid NYS Driver's License Six months of experience with the I/DD population, or a college degree in a health service-related field Come work in a supportive environment where staff are valued, and high-quality supports are provided to the people supported.
