Job Description Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Construction Manager to lead large-scale data center construction projects that power AWS's global cloud. In this high-ownership role, you will manage full project lifecycle-from scoping, budgeting, and scheduling through execution and handover-ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will coordinate with design, infrastructure, and operations teams, direct general contractors and vendors, and apply data-driven metrics to optimize cost and performance. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center construction projects for AWSOversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to meet safety, quality, and capacity targets Manage general contractors, vendors, and consultants; negotiate scopes, change orders, and timelines Coordinate with design, infrastructure, network, and operations teams to align technical requirements Implement rigorous QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with building codes and AWS standards Monitor site performance using data and metrics; drive continuous improvement and cost optimization Identify and mitigate construction, safety, and schedule risks across multiple concurrent projects Prepare and present status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders Ensure all work adheres to environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements Mentor junior construction managers and contribute to scaling best practices globally Required Skills Construction project management Data center or mission-critical facility construction Budgeting and cost control Project scheduling (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) Contract negotiation and vendor management Building codes and regulatory compliance Risk management and mitigation Reading and interpreting construction drawings/BIMCross-functional stakeholder management MS Office and project management software
