The Axel Group LLC

Superintendent

Job Description

Overview The Axel Group is partnering with a well-established commercial general contractor that is continuing to build out its field team across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with a particularly strong need for experienced Project Superintendents throughout the Pennsylvania market. We know this company and its leadership extremely well and have already made several successful placements with their team. They have a very strong pipeline of current and upcoming work, including a significant amount of activity throughout Pennsylvania, and are looking to bring on Superintendents for the long term - not simply to staff one project and move on. The company specializes in fast-paced commercial construction, including interior fit-outs, renovations, and ground-up projects across the retail, restaurant, banking, healthcare, sports/recreation, and broader commercial markets. Their portfolio includes work for recognizable national brands and institutions, with a large portion of their backlog coming from repeat clients that continue to rely on them across multiple locations. While the company continues to grow throughout New Jersey as well, Pennsylvania is a major area of focus and there is enough work in the region to keep the right Superintendent consistently busy. Project assignments are made with geography in mind, and the company makes a strong effort to place its people where it makes sense rather than unnecessarily moving them around from one end of the region to another. This is an excellent opportunity for a sharp, reliable field leader who can take ownership of a project, manage subcontractors and schedules, stay ahead of day-to-day field operations, and keep fast-moving jobs progressing safely and efficiently. Commercial construction experience is required, with backgrounds in retail, restaurant, commercial interiors, renovations, banking, healthcare, or similar fast-paced environments being especially valuable. Position Overview The Project Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations from project startup through punch list and closeout. This person will serve as the onsite leader responsible for subcontractor coordination, scheduling and sequencing, safety, quality, documentation, inspections, and overall field execution.
