Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PreConstruction Project Manager/Estimator to join our team and lead the early phases of infrastructure and commercial construction projects and National Brand projects. This role combines strategic estimating with proactive project planning, ensuring seamless transitions from concept to construction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and civil or heavy infrastructure projects, with a passion for driving projects forward with precision and enthusiasm. You will collaborate closely with design teams, clients, and subcontractors to develop accurate cost estimates, construct comprehensive bid proposals, and coordinate preconstruction activities that set the foundation for successful project execution. Duties Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates utilizing industry-standard software (Buildertrend). Review construction plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine project scope, materials, labor costs, and potential risks. Develop comprehensive project budgets and schedules in collaboration with project teams using project management software. Coordinate with design professionals and clients to clarify project requirements and ensure alignment on scope and budget. Manage bid processes by soliciting subcontractor quotes, analyzing proposals, and selecting qualified vendors to optimize cost efficiency. Oversee preconstruction activities including site assessments, constructability reviews, and regulatory compliance checks. Lead the development of construction schedules that align with project timelines while managing resource allocation effectively. Ensure all preconstruction documentation complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations. Collaborate with project managers during the transition from preconstruction to construction phases to facilitate smooth handoffs. Maintain detailed records of estimates, contracts, change orders, and communication logs for transparency and future reference. Skills Experience with construction estimating software. Strong knowledge of construction management principles including cost management, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and blueprints accurately. Exceptional project coordination skills with a focus on managing teams in a fast-paced environment. Expertise in managing budgets for large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects while controlling costs effectively. Skilled in project scheduling techniques including construction schedule coordination and timeline management. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders. Familiarity with contracts, bidding processes, and legal aspects of construction projects. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently through effective time management strategies. $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
