Construction Field Supervisor (Bilingual)

Job Description

About the Role New Frontier Builders is seeking an experienced, bilingual Construction Field Supervisor to oversee job site quality control, subcontractor crew coordination, and materials logistics across our active projects. This hybrid position bridges the gap between field operations and office leadership. The ideal candidate pairs hands-on construction knowledge with strong communication skills to support crews, keep jobs moving on schedule, and maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Trades include Concrete Foundations and Flat Work, House Framing, Siding, Roofing, Gutters, Drywall, and Paint.
Key Responsibilities Quality Control & Standards Assurance:
Conduct proactive inspections across active job sites to verify work comply with plans, specifications, and New Frontier Builders' quality benchmarks prior to client walkthroughs.
Crew Coordination & Site Leadership:
Serve as the primary liaison between subcontractor crews and company project managers. Lead daily check-ins and safety/toolbox talks, resolve on-site bottlenecks, and foster strong working relationships with crew leads.
Materials & Logistics Management:
Monitor material deliveries, interface with suppliers, and verify that job sites are properly staged ahead of work phases to eliminate crew downtime. Order materials as needed and coordinate with Admin staff to track payments.
Bilingual Communication & Alignment:
Ensure smooth, accurate information flow between English-speaking project managers and field crews. Clarify scopes of work, safety regulations, and project schedules so expectations are transparent to all stakeholders.
Team Development & Accountability:
Adopt a coaching-first mindset to mentor trade workers, spot emerging crew leaders, and cultivate a professional culture centered on mutual accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements Language Proficiency:
Fully fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Field Experience:
Practical on-site construction experience (e.g., former laborer, lead hand, foreman, or assistant superintendent). A formal construction management degree is not required; practical site know-how and leadership ability are prioritized.
Leadership Style:
Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with an emphasis on supportive coaching rather than rigid top-down direction.
Licensing:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for operating the company vehicle).

Exceptional ability to manage multiple job sites, shifting schedules, and overlapping priorities. Maintains accurate daily site logs, stays ahead of delivery timelines, and keeps project documentation structured and accessible.

Strong verbal and written communicator capable of translating technical requirements into clear, actionable directives. Demonstrates active listening, transparency, and the ability to de-escalate on-site issues before they impact timelines or budgets.
Tech-Savvy & Adaptable:
Comfortable adopting modern digital tools to streamline day-to-day operations and field reporting. Eager to explore and leverage emerging technologies—including generative AI tools—to speed up administrative tasks, drafting, and problem-solving.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook for scheduling/email, Word for reporting, and Excel for tracking materials and basic cost logs). o
Messaging Platforms:
Highly proficient with WhatsApp and mobile messaging apps for rapid, real-time coordination with field crews and subcontractor leads. o Project Management Software (A Plus): Experience with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Fieldwire, Trello, Monday.com or similar tools) is a strong advantage.

Performance-Based Quarterly Bonus Work Environment & Compensation Salary Range:
$55,000 - $80,000 per year, based on relevant background and skills.
