Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our construction project finances. In this pivotal role, you will oversee budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting for complex infrastructure projects. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and regulatory compliance will drive project success and operational excellence. Join us to shape the financial backbone of our ambitious construction endeavors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Duties Manage and oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budget development, cost control, and financial reporting. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, HeavyBid, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam to track project costs, schedules, and resource allocation effectively. Coordinate with project managers and teams to develop accurate construction schedules and ensure alignment with project milestones using Primavera P6 and Civil 3D. Monitor construction regulatory compliance by reviewing plans, contracts, and permits to ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations. Lead project cost estimation efforts by leveraging construction estimating techniques and managing bids using HeavyBid or similar tools. Oversee contract administration, including review of construction plans, change orders, and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Supervise teams involved in project coordination, schedule updates, and financial analysis to promote seamless communication across all stakeholders. Ensure accurate blueprint reading and interpretation to support project planning and execution. Maintain rigorous project documentation including budgets, schedules, change orders, and compliance records using Microsoft Office suite for reporting purposes. Drive continuous improvement in project scheduling coordination by integrating project management software tools for real-time updates. Qualifications Proven experience managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects with a strong background in construction management or finance. Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Civil 3D, or similar tools. Proficiency in construction estimating software like HeavyBid along with a solid understanding of construction budgets and cost management strategies. Familiarity with construction regulations, safety standards, contracts, blueprints reading, and regulatory compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent time management skills. Strong expertise in project scheduling coordination and project management software integration for effective project delivery. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead project leadership discussions confidently. Construction site experience is highly preferred to understand on-the-ground challenges thoroughly. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
