Position Overview Everlast Structures is seeking a Construction Design & Project Manager to help coordinate projects from initial design through construction and completion. This is a unique position combining construction design, project management, permitting, customer communication, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite involvement. The ideal candidate will have experience with Chief Architect, AutoCAD, or another CAD design program, along with a strong working knowledge of residential, post-frame, or light-commercial construction. An architectural, engineering, or construction-management degree is not required. We value practical construction experience, good judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly. The right person does not need to be an expert in every area on day one. However, they must understand how buildings are constructed, be comfortable solving problems, and be willing to take on greater responsibility as they learn our systems and processes. Primary Responsibilities Create, review, and revise building plans using Chief Architect or a comparable CAD program Make plan changes based on customer selections, field conditions, municipal requirements, and subcontractor input Review plans for accuracy, completeness, and constructability Assist with zoning applications, building permits, plan reviews, and municipal approval processes Communicate with customers, municipalities, inspectors, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors Schedule and attend on-site coordination meetings Help coordinate excavation, concrete, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other subcontracted work Coordinate interior finishes, fixtures, materials, and installation details Track project schedules, plan revisions, customer decisions, selections, and outstanding items Identify potential conflicts before they create delays or additional costs in the field Provide subcontractors and construction crews with the plans and information needed to complete their work Help move projects efficiently from design and permitting through construction and final completion JobTread Project Management Everlast Structures uses JobTread as its primary construction project-management platform. This position will use JobTread daily to: Manage project schedules, tasks, documents, budgets, and selections Track plan revisions, permits, customer decisions, and outstanding items Coordinate communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal team members Maintain accurate and current project records Help develop and improve consistent project-management workflows Previous JobTread experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate. Experience with another construction project-management platform is also valuable. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Chief Architect, AutoCAD, or a comparable CAD design program Strong general knowledge of residential, post-frame, or light-commercial construction Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Previous experience in project management, drafting, estimating, construction coordination, remodeling, interior finish coordination, or field supervision Experience with JobTread or another construction-management platform is preferred Strong computer and digital organization skills Ability to manage multiple active projects and changing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable communicating with customers, subcontractors, inspectors, engineers, and municipal officials Willingness to visit active construction sites and participate in on-site meetings Ability to recognize potential construction conflicts and develop practical solutions Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Willingness and ability to learn quickly Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Education and Experience An architectural, engineering, or construction-management degree is not required. Relevant construction knowledge and real-world experience are more important to us than formal education alone. Candidates with backgrounds in drafting, residential design, construction management, estimating, remodeling, interior finishes, or field supervision are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Advancement Starting salary of $60,000 per year Full-time, salaried position Opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement as the position develops Work Location This is an in-person position based in the Brookfield, Wisconsin area. The position also requires travel to project sites throughout southeastern Wisconsin for meetings, project coordination, and field verification.
