ARKUPS is an underground utility locating company that provides a reliable, cost-effective locate service that ensures public safety by preventing damage to our partner's facilities. As a Damage Prevention Specialist, you will work independently, and will be responsible for identifying and marking the location of all partner subsurface utilities to minimize damage or disruption of service due to construction excavation activities. This includes interacting with contractors, co-workers and the general public in person, by telephone and/or email to establish and maintain effective working relationships while promoting the Arkansas 811 law to prevent damage. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Authorized to work in the United States. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record and background.
Skills:
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Ability to read and interpret maps, utility records and electronic prints. Ability to distinguish colors accurately to mark utilities according to industry-standard color codes. Ability to interpret signals and data from electronic detection equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
