Job Description

Property Pros is hiring full time field inspectors in Saint Clair and across Franklin County. We do mortgage field service inspections for national mortgage servicers and insurance carriers. When a lender or insurer needs eyes on a property, they send us. We send you. This is not home inspection. You do not need a home inspector license. You are documenting what a property looks like on a given day, not writing a buyer's report.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We need inspectors who want a full book and can hold it week after week. This is not a side gig. If you are looking to fill a couple of afternoons around another job, this is not the right post for you. If you want steady work in your own area and you are ready to put in the miles, keep reading.
THE WORK
You get orders in your area. You drive out, photograph the property to spec, answer a short set of questions about what you found, and submit everything from your phone by the end of the day. Most inspections take 3 to 8 minutes on site. Some stops are spread out, so a good day is a well planned route.
Typical orders:
Exterior condition and occupancy checks Photographing the property from set angles, date-stamped and GPS-tagged Confirming whether a property is occupied, vacant, or listed for sale Noting damage, debris, or anything that changed since the last visit Occasional interior condition reports on vacant properties Orders carry client deadlines. Hitting them is the job. Inspectors who turn work in complete and on time get more of it.
WHERE YOU WOULD WORK
Orders are assigned in your own area. We cover Saint Clair and the surrounding area, including Franklin, Crawford, Washington and Gasconade Counties and western Jefferson County, with towns like Union, Washington, Sullivan, Pacific, Gerald, Leslie, Bourbon, Cuba, Owensville and Potosi. Volume varies by area and by month, so tell us every ZIP you would genuinely drive to. The more ground you cover, the more work you see.
WHAT YOU NEED A
reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license Current auto insurance A smartphone that takes date-stamped, GPS-tagged photos Willingness to pass a background screening To be comfortable on your feet, outdoors, in the weather To be available across the working week, not just weekends Experience in property preservation, field services, appraisal, pest control, delivery, or any job that already has you driving the county every day is a plus, not a requirement. PAY Paid per completed inspection, not salary. What you earn tracks how many orders you complete and how much ground you cover. Inspectors carrying a full book work toward the top of the pay range rather than the bottom of it. You are a 1099 independent contractor, responsible for your own taxes and equipment.
