Responsible for:

Operates crane to raise and lower load line in response to signals. Inspects and lubricates cables, pulleys, guides, and drums. Inspects equipment for deficiencies, such as tires, lights, brakes, fuses, and fluid levels and submits report indicating equipment condition. Understands stakes and guidelines on ground or positions equipment following hand signals of assistant. Operates hand wheels, levers, and depresses pedals to drive machines and control attachments. Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure the machine is working properly. Determines the causes of operating errors and decides what to do about it. Maintains safe operating conditions to protect people and property from injury.

Work Qualifications:

Knowledge of rigging and load limits. Must be able to operate Hydraulic and Friction Cranes. Knowledge of crane signals given by assistant. Judges distances and slopes accurately. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of structures, highways, or roads. Knowledge of materials, production processes, and quality control. Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines. Takes pride in craftsmanship. Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines. Works within precise standards of accuracy.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

Class "A" Commercial Driver's License, w/ No Air Brake Restriction, Possess an NCCCO Crane Certification or comparable, AND, Five (5) + years' experience in crane operation for construction.
