Overview A Deepwater Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining cranes on an offshore procurement platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Responsibilities Operate levers and pedals to control the crane. Follow hand signals to raise, lower, and rotate the boom or load. Lift and move equipment or material on the platform and between boats in various sea conditions. Maintain and clean crane equipment. Provide leadership to construction riggers. Conduct safety and operation inspections of the crane. Qualifications This position is to work on a deepwater production platform that is being decommissioned but has years of service from being completed. High school diploma or equivalent. 5 or more years of prior offshore crane operating experience on a floating facility. Crane Operator Certification. Must be open to working/assisting other crafts on the platform when not completing lifts. Previous experience operating Seatrax cranes preferred. Deepwater operating experience preferred. Mechanical experience or aptitude.
