Piros Signs is looking for a highly skilled, mechanically inclined Lead Field Installer / Crane Operator to join our commercial sign installation team. Sign industry experience is NOT required. We are looking for experienced tradespeople who have the mechanical ability, construction experience, equipment skills, and problem-solving mindset to become well-rounded commercial sign installers. If you're an ironworker, millwright, welder, electrician, crane operator, rigger, equipment operator, carpenter, or experienced commercial construction professional who enjoys doing something different every day, this could be an excellent opportunity. What You'll Do Our field installation work combines multiple skilled trades and equipment. Depending on the project, your responsibilities may include: Operating cranes, bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and other construction equipment Rigging and setting large commercial signs, structures, and components Installing building-mounted and freestanding signs Welding, fabrication, and structural steel work Installing electrical and LED sign components Drilling, excavation, augering, and site preparation Installing and working with concrete foundations and footings Reading plans, measurements, drawings, and site conditions Troubleshooting installation issues and developing safe field solutions Performing sign service and repair work Pulling trailers and transporting equipment and materials Working safely around cranes, suspended loads, aerial equipment, and construction sites Leading and directing helpers or other crew members when assigned Traveling to commercial job sites throughout the area Maintaining a professional and safety-focused approach on every job What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is mechanically strong, comfortable working at heights, understands construction equipment and tools, and can solve problems in the field without needing constant direction. You may be a great fit if you have experience as a: Millwright Ironworker Structural Welder Commercial Electrician Crane Operator Rigger Equipment Operator Sign Installer / Sign Erector Industrial Maintenance Technician Commercial Carpenter General Construction Foreman Field Service Technician You do not need previous sign installation experience. We can teach the sign-specific aspects of the job.
Qualifications Required:
Strong mechanical and construction skills Ability to safely operate and work around construction equipment Ability to work at heights and from aerial lifts Ability to use common hand and power tools Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic construction drawings Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions Ability to work safely as part of a field installation crew Reliable attendance and dependable work habits Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

The job requires the ability to: Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Climb ladders and work from aerial lifts Work at elevated heights Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods Work around heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, tools, and construction activities Travel to and work at commercial job sites Safety Safety is a fundamental part of our installation operations. Employees are expected to follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, jobsite rules, equipment procedures, and applicable training requirements.
