In this role, you will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of grading plans, ensuring that construction aligns perfectly with design specifications. Your expertise will help maintain project integrity, promote safety, and facilitate smooth project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced surveying tools and techniques to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

Core Responsibilities Grade Verification:

Check and verify elevations, building pads, roads, slopes, and drainage grades against project specifications.

Stake Management:

Read, interpret, and set grade stakes to guide heavy equipment operators during excavation and filling.

Tool Operation:

Utilize laser levels, optical/hand levels, and GPS equipment to measure vertical and horizontal tolerances.

Blueprint Reading:

Interpret construction plans, cival drawings, and technical blueprints to understand exact gradingrequirements.

Site Communication:

Collaborate closely with equipment operators, grading foremen, and project surveyers to direct machinery movement and correct discrepancies.

Quality Control:

Conduct final and routine site inspections to ensure the finished earthwork matches engineering designs.

Skills Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of Practical experience in commercial grading, heavy civil Construction or earthmoving operations.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of cival geometry, math calculations for cut/fill ratios, and reading grade stakes.

Equipment Proficiency:

Familiar with modern GPS grade-control systems, laser levels, and standard site-measuring tools.

Safety Awareness:

Knowledge of OSHA and federal construction safety regulations on active job sites.

Physical capability:

fieldwork involves heavy lifting; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions; and clear communication skills for directing equipment operators. Jobsite locations vary. Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.

Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
