Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter & Drywall Specialist to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing interior and exterior surfaces on residential projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise surface preparation, expert application of paint and coatings, and seamless drywall installation and finishing. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), or conventional spray equipment with precision and efficiency Install, repair, and finish drywall panels to create smooth walls and ceilings in various settings Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install drywall and related materials such as stucco or fixtures Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications to accurately execute projects according to design requirements Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection when necessary and adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects including sanding, scraping, patching, and priming to ensure long-lasting finishes Assist with remodeling or renovation tasks by providing handyman services such as fixture installation or minor repairs as needed Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting surface preparation, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial coating applications Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and spray equipment Knowledge of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching techniques Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for drywall installation or coating projects Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and materials needed Strong understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection practices and site safety protocols Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation or remodeling projects is highly desirable Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or material quantities Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and gaps in drywall or stucco applications Ability to work at heights using ladders safely while maintaining balance and precision during application tasks Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert painting techniques and drywall craftsmanship!
