TRIMWORKS TRIMWORKS
of Michigan is a licensed and insured full-service construction company based in Shelby Township. We handle commercial, residential, and multifamily work including renovations, unit turns, repairs, finish carpentry, drywall, and painting. We run an in-house W-2 crew and take pride in clean, professional work on occupied properties. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of real, hands-on drywall and paint experience. A large share of our work is tape, mud, sand, prime, then paint. This is not a paint-only role. What you'll do Tape, mud, and sand drywall repairs and new work to a paint-ready finish Prime and paint interiors (walls, ceilings, trim, doors) with brush, roller, and spray as needed Prep surfaces: patch, caulk, sand, mask, and protect occupied spaces Work on unit turns, renovations, and repair scopes alongside our construction team Keep a clean, professional jobsite and represent the company well with clients and property staff Work independently, stay on schedule, and meet the quality standard expected on our jobs Schedule Start time is 8:00 a.m. sharp Typical hours are 40 to 50 per week Report to the shop every day, then leave for the job in a company work van Emergency work and deadline jobs come up. Overtime will be offered when needed What we need At least 5 years of real drywall finishing and painting experience (required) Proven ability to tape, mud, sand, prime, and paint Professional appearance and conduct on occupied jobsites Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license to get to and from work each day Ability to work full time, year-round Comfortable on ladders, lifting materials, and working in active construction environments Quality-first mindset. We do not hide bad prep under paint Transportation You need your own vehicle to get to and from the shop each day. Once you report in, employees ride in company work vans to job sites. You do not need to use your personal vehicle to travel between jobs. Tools Company tools are available for use. Having your own personal tools is a plus. Benefits This is a full-time W-2 position. Health, dental, and vision are offered after the probation period.
