Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Sheetrock Finisher and play a vital role in transforming spaces through expert drywall finishing. Responsibilities Finish drywall surfaces by applying mudding, taping, texturing, and sanding to achieve a seamless appearance. Repair damaged drywall and perform patching to restore surface integrity before finishing. Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute drywall installation and finishing tasks. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for drywall installation, texturing, and repair work. Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, and other trades to ensure proper framing, metal stud installation, and fixture mounting align with project specifications. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and adhere strictly to safety protocols during every phase of work. Assist with related tasks such as framing, door hanging, flooring installation, or minor remodeling as needed to support project completion. Skills Proficiency in drywall installation, mudding, taping, texturing, and repair techniques. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings. Experience with metal stud framing, plastering, masonry, and trim carpentry is highly advantageous. Familiarity with construction safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., knives, trowels) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders) safely and effectively.
