Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces to create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will help transform construction spaces into polished, functional environments, ensuring safety and precision at every step. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to restoration jobs, utilizing your skills in drywall installation and finishing. Duties Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels using hand tools and power tools in accordance with construction plans and schematics Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine layout, measurements, and installation procedures Apply drywall mud (joint compound), tape seams, sand surfaces smoothly, and perform texturing to achieve a flawless finish Repair damaged drywall surfaces or existing installations with skillful patching techniques Install metal stud framing, trim carpentry elements, doors, fixtures, and perform caulking for sealing joints or gaps Follow safety protocols diligently by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations during all phases of work Assist with related tasks such as plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, or water damage restoration as needed Skills Extensive experience in drywall installation, taping, mudding, texturing, and repair processes Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately Proficiency with hand tools (such as trowels, knives) and power tools (such as drills, saws) used in drywall work Knowledge of construction estimating principles and safety regulations specific to the industry Strong understanding of metal stud framing, plastering techniques, masonry basics, and remodeling procedures Familiarity with construction plumbing systems and fixture installation is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on active job sites while maintaining high safety standards Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your drywall expertise to exciting projects.
