In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the overall aesthetic and structural integrity of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in drywall finishing and related trades. Responsibilities Finish drywall surfaces by applying joint compound (mud), taping, sanding, and texturing to achieve a flawless appearance. Repair damaged drywall or patches, ensuring consistency with existing surfaces for a uniform look. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute drywall installation and finishing tasks. Utilize hand tools and power tools such as taping knives, sanders, drills, and saws safely and efficiently. Collaborate with carpenters, framers, and other trades to coordinate installation of metal studs, trim carpentry, door hanging, and fixture installation. Follow construction safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment on-site. Assist with related tasks such as drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, water damage restoration, mold remediation, or flooring installation as needed. Requirements Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with a solid understanding of drywall installation techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools common in drywall finishing and general carpentry work. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings for accurate execution. Experience working on construction sites with diverse teams in fast-paced environments. Additional skills such as drywall mudding, texturing, taping, repair work, plastering, or restoration industry experience are highly desirable.
