Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician specializing in Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to join our dynamic operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our material handling systems, including forklifts, conveyor belts, pallet jacks, and other industrial MHE. The successful candidate will utilize their technical expertise to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and execute repairs efficiently across our manufacturing facility. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in industrial maintenance and equipment diagnostics to contribute to operational excellence. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all types of Material Handling Equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, conveyor systems, and pallet jacks. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, and precision measuring instruments. Perform repairs on electrical systems utilizing electrical diagnostics tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters; repair low voltage circuits and control panels. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and equipment history. Replace or repair components such as motors, switches, sensors, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting manuals to resolve complex equipment problems. Utilize welding skills where necessary for structural repairs or component fabrication in accordance with welding standards. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement upgrades or modifications to material handling systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. Support training initiatives for new technicians or operators on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures. Requirements Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial maintenance of Material Handling Equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical blueprint reading. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance planning and documentation. Technical proficiency in HVAC/R systems, HVAC experience is a plus. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters accurately. Skilled in welding techniques compliant with standards; experience with low voltage wiring is preferred. Knowledge of industrial electrician practices including electrical diagnostics and low voltage circuit troubleshooting. Mechanical aptitude with expertise in industrial mechanics and equipment repair procedures. Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing issues efficiently and implementing effective solutions. Strong customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors. Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork.
