Job Description
Industrial Electrical Electrician Education:
Required:
Current Colorado Journeyman's Electrical License Required:
Strong knowledge in motor controls, three phase power and ability to troubleshoot.
Experience:
Required:
Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical controls, electrical installation, electrical layout.
Preferred:
Experience in a similar role within sand and gravel, quarries, manufacturing. Experience with Motor controls and troubleshooting control systems.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of Control Systems:
understanding of electrical control systems, circuit design, and automation processes.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical control issues effectively. Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs): Experience with programming, configuring, and wiring VFDs.
Industrial Communication Protocols:
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
Certifications:
Required:
License Journeyman Electrician, Certified Control Systems Technician is a plus but not mandatory.
Preferred:
Additional certifications related to electrical control systems or automation technologies.
Soft Skills:
Attention to
Detail:
Strong attention to detail and precision in implementing and maintaining control systems.
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to analyze complex systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration with team members.
Maintain workspace:
clean up your workspace throughout the day, complete at the end of the day. Document what was done in notes and pictures. f didnt complete document what is left to do for the next guy to pick it up.
Compliance and Safety:
Regulatory Knowledge:
Understanding of relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC) and the ability to ensure compliance in all aspects of electrical control systems.
Safety Practices:
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
MSHA:
CESI will certify you.
Physical Requirements:
Manual Dexterity:
Ability to handle and work with electrical components and tools.
Physical Stamina:
Capability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, pulling, or working in various environmental conditions.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility:
Willingness to work outside of regular hours, including evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed to address system issues or perform maintenance.
Continuous Learning:
Commitment to staying current with industry advancements and technological changes in electrical control systems.
Preferred Attributes:
Project Management Skills:
Experience in managing or leading projects related to electrical controls or automation systems.
Safety Lead:
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of saefty trainings and tail gate meetings for accidents and near misses.
