Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our clients' facilities. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring projects. Perform electrical diagnostics on complex systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical infrastructure, including industrial electrical systems, commercial electrical systems, and high-voltage components. Follow all electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and local regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Utilize testing equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues and verify system functionality. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects or new installations to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in your jurisdiction. Proven experience with industrial electrician tasks and commercial electrical systems installation. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage control circuits. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power drills, and frame carpentry for installation tasks. Construction site experience with renovation projects preferred; handyman experience a plus. Excellent understanding of electrical safety procedures and protocols to prevent hazards during all phases of work. Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
