Job Description

Meyer Mechanical is seeking a Master Electrician to support HVAC installation, service, and upgrades for residential and light commercial projects in the Kansas City metro. You'll design and install electrical circuits for HVAC systems, panels, and controls; troubleshoot and repair electrical issues; and ensure all work meets NEC and local codes. Partner closely with HVAC technicians, mentor apprentices, and complete accurate documentation. Responsibilities Design, install, and maintain electrical systems for HVAC equipment, panels, and controls Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults related to HVAC systems Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and safety standards Collaborate with HVAC technicians to plan and execute installations and retrofits Conduct electrical inspections, testing, and verification of system performance Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics Maintain accurate job documentation, material lists, and service records Mentor apprentices and technicians on safe and code-compliant electrical practices Communicate clearly with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams Required Skills Electrical system installation and repair HVAC equipment wiring and controls National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance Blueprint and schematic reading Panel and feeder sizing and installation Electrical troubleshooting and testing with meters Conduit bending and wire pulling Low-voltage control circuits and thermostats Load calculations and circuit design Job documentation and reporting
