Provide technical leadership and oversight for an assigned group of consultants and their active assignments.
Communicate regularly with assigned consultants to discuss ongoing assignments and provide technical/engineering guidance as needed.
Identify opportunities to expand scope, introduce additional expertise, or increase value provided to clients on assigned jobs.
Collaborate with leadership to review larger incoming and ongoing assignments and evaluate value-add opportunity, onsite clerking, opportunities, and insurance risks that exist, refining the process for consulting on larger and project-management-intensive jobs.
Oversee report reviews for assigned consultants to ensure deliverables meet company standards for quality, professionalism, and technical accuracy.
Assist consultants in developing investigative approaches and solving technical challenges encountered during projects.

Champion the company's commitment to professionalism, attention to detail, and results-oriented service. Technical Consulting Responsibilities
Provide industry-leading technical consulting and project management services in insurance loss situations.
This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:o Traveling and performing site visits and inspectionso Conducting research on the insured's business and machineryo Reporting and opining on repair vs. replacement, restoration, costs, etc.o Project managing loss situations to return the insured to pre-loss condition efficientlyo Serving as the eyes and ears for the insurance adjuster and keeping them apprised of developments, delays, concerns, and otherwiseo Sourcing and managing vendors as necessary to restore the insured to pre-loss conditiono Coordinating repair/replacement timelineso Coordinating efforts of vendors, OEMs, and numerous partieso Calling out betterments, upgrades, and discrepancies wherever possible, with an emphasis on saving the client time and money
Responsible for providing excellent customer service and know-how that exceeds customer expectations. Word-of-mouth referrals drive assignments in this industry; the goal is to receive high marks from adjusters on all assignments.
Objectivity and accuracy are critical when providing analysis. Always report a defendable position that will stand up to a legal challenge.
Be timely with reports and deliverables to customers. Follow up with clients on desired deliverables and timing. Strive to exceed timing and accuracy expectations on all deliverables.
Look for circumstances to add value to clients and their customers by offering other services or expanding scope, including but not limited to:o Including additional expertise via internal consultants or external vendorso Recommending alternative repair or replacement optionso Mitigating business interruptiono Project managing a loss situation
Gain the client's approval prior to proceeding with expanded scope items.
Consultants must gather and archive excellent documentation to support their findings.
This might include but is not limited to:o Knowledge from the insuredo Pictureso OEM and industry information and documentationo Service history regarding the equipmento Information from vendors and contractorso Publication references
