Job Overview Weeks Marine is seeking a skilled Electrician Rotation Journeyman to join our team. In this role, you will plan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. As a key member of our electrical team, you will ensure all work complies with safety standards. Your expertise will help keep operations running smoothly and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety in every project. This position is headquartered in our Houma LA shipyard and has a work schedule of 19 days on / 9 days off. Frequent travel to various project sites along the East and Gulf Coasts is required. Responsibilities Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations. Installs control and distribution apparatus' and fastens in place. Test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment. Work with high and low voltage systems. Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems. Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools. Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed. Qualifications 3+ years of electrician experience Trade Certification or equivalent helpful, but not necessary Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site Travel (by land, air, and water) to field locations is required, transportation paid. Ability to work a 50+ hour work week M-F, overtime as needed Must be able to work 7 days/week as needed Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot hydraulic drawings and systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and mechanical drawings Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision. Ability to work independently and with others - team player Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools. Requirements Must possess a valid Driver's license, must have a good driving record. TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential (preferred) Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work from platforms. Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind. Must be able to tolerate rough seas, vibrations, heat, harsh weather conditions, confined spaces, and high noise levels. Work will frequently require individuals to push, pull, bend or stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders. Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Performs other duties as required.

$31.00 - $31.50 per hour
