In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and building codes, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with electrical blueprints, schematics reading, and electrical building codes. Perform high-voltage wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance and electrical safety procedures. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently. Maintain industrial motor equipment through routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation. Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints to guide installation and troubleshooting processes. Install and maintain motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and other control devices. Use hand tools, power tools, frame carpentry skills as needed for conduit installation, mounting panels, or other structural tasks related to electrical work. Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical safety procedures, and local building codes throughout every phase of the project. Conduct high-voltage system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation before project completion. Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical system installation within project timelines while maintaining safety standards. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Extensive knowledge of industrial motor maintenance and repair along with the ability to read complex electrical schematics and blueprints. Hands-on experience working with high-voltage wiring systems safely on construction sites or within industrial facilities. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor control equipment, low voltage systems, and power distribution is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to interpret electrical blueprints accurately while adhering to all relevant electrical codes such as NFPA 70 (National Electrical Safety Code). Skilled in using testing instruments including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters for precise diagnostics. Prior experience working on construction sites or in environments requiring strict adherence to electrical safety procedures is preferred.
