Overview Entertainment Technology Inc. (ETI) is looking for an experienced Electrical & Low-Voltage Technician to join our team in Maiden, NC. We are a residential electrical and technology company specializing in electrical and lighting, home automation, audio/video, networking, security cameras, alarm systems, motorized shades, and other integrated home technologies. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in electrical, low-voltage, AV, networking, security, or a related trade who is comfortable working independently as well as alongside our team. You do not need experience in every system we install. We are willing to train the right experienced technician on our specific products and systems. Pay is up to $35.00 per hour and is based on experience, qualifications, technical knowledge, and demonstrated skill level. This is not an entry-level helper position. We are looking for someone who already understands job-site work, can use tools confidently, troubleshoot problems, perform clean and professional installations, and is interested in expanding their skills in residential technology. Duties & Responsibilities Perform residential electrical and low-voltage installations in new construction, remodels, and existing homes. Install and troubleshoot lighting, switches, receptacles, electrical devices, and related wiring within assigned scope. Install TVs, speakers, audio/video equipment, equipment racks, networking equipment, security cameras, alarm devices, and smart-home components. Run, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling. Install and assist with setup of home automation and integrated technology systems. Diagnose problems and perform service and repair work on existing systems. Read and understand plans, wiring diagrams, equipment documentation, and job specifications. Work independently on assigned tasks while also working effectively as part of a team. Direct and assist helpers when assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project. Keep tools, materials, and equipment organized and properly cared for. Communicate professionally with customers, builders, contractors, other trades, and ETI team members. Identify job-site issues and communicate them appropriately to management. Complete work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail. Continue learning new products, systems, software, and technologies as the industry evolves. Qualifications & Requirements Proven hands-on experience in electrical, low-voltage, AV, security, networking, home automation, or a closely related trade. Strong electrical and/or low-voltage troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently, assess a situation, and determine appropriate next steps without requiring constant supervision. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, meters, testers, and common installation equipment. Ability to run, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot wiring and low-voltage cabling. Ability to read and understand plans, wiring diagrams, equipment instructions, job documentation, and manufacturer specifications. Strong oral and written communication skills , with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, builders, contractors, and management. Basic computer and technology skills , including the ability to use computers, tablets, smartphones, email, mobile apps, web-based software, and manufacturer programming/setup applications. Ability and willingness to learn new software, equipment, products, and technology as systems evolve. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform clean, organized, professional-quality installations. Comfortable troubleshooting equipment and systems using technical documentation and logical problem-solving. Ability to work professionally in high-end, finished, and occupied homes , with respect for the customer's property and surroundings. Ability to organize materials, tools, equipment, and job-site responsibilities efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as effectively with other technicians and helpers. Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for direct interaction with residential customers. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to safely lift and carry equipment and materials and work from ladders, in attics, crawlspaces, and other typical residential installation environments. Must be able to pass applicable background and drug screening. Experience Experience in multiple areas below is highly preferred: Residential electrical installation and troubleshooting Lighting and lighting control Low-voltage wiring Structured cabling Networking and Wi-Fi Audio/video systems Home automation Control4 Security cameras and surveillance systems Alarm/security systems Equipment rack building and wiring TV and speaker installation System troubleshooting Motorized shades We do not expect candidates to have experience with every system listed above. However, we are looking for an experienced technician with a strong background across multiple areas. Training will be provided on ETI's specific products, platforms, and systems as needed.
Pay & Schedule Pay:
Up to $35.00 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, technical knowledge, and demonstrated skill level.

Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts Three-day weekends Employees report to our Maiden, NC location and travel to customer job sites in company vehicles.
