SUMMARY Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs machinery, equipment and physical structures in industrial establishment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Install, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, calibrate, and maintain electrical equipment throughout the facility. Performs electrical work safely and professionally with minimal supervision in accordance with Federal and State Regulations and Company Policies. Repair and troubleshoot AC/DC variable speed drives, other motor controls, PLC's, process controls and building systems such as lighting, alarms and security systems. Repair and maintain overhead cranes. Maintain, repair, test and install electric motors, hydraulics and pneumatics with associated controls. Prioritize work, and follow up on directed assignments. Responds and reports to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required. Works overtime, as needed. Operates other equipment including but not limited to industrial forklifts, personal lifts, and other mobile equipment. Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, delivery vehicles and plant facilities. Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. High school diploma, general education degree (GED), technical school education; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiar with overhead cranes, fabrication procedures, and machine setup. Use of hand tools, grinders, welders & cranes. Ability to fabricate parts and supports as needed using shop tools and welders. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read tape measure. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; off of ground conditions; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
