Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. our technical knowledge and hands-on skills to contribute to the success of our operations. The individual applying should be familiar with all aspects of residential wiring including wiring of whole house from small to large new construction, service changes, troubleshooting, as well as wiring additions and renovations. Also be familiar with commercial installations, panel equipment, metering equipment, motors and motor starters. Clean appearance and excellent people skills is a must. Uphold all company policies and procedures Final pay determination will be based on applicants experience. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to electrical building codes and NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. 5+ years experience, pay based on experience Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions. Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring and maintenance on industrial motor control equipment, power distribution systems, and low-voltage circuits. Maintain safety procedures by following electrical safety protocols during all phases of work to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical installations efficiently on construction sites or existing facilities. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor control centers, and industrial automation systems.

Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in residental and commercial electrical work. Valid journeyman electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities is desirable but not necessary. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Experience with high-voltage wiring, industrial motor maintenance, and repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance requirements for safe electrical practices in industrial settings. Proficiency with testing instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for diagnostics purposes. Strong understanding of electrical building codes and safety procedures related to construction sites or existing facilities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards. Construction site experience including blueprint reading and framing carpentry is advantageous but not mandatory. Must have valid drivers license, possess and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
