2/2026 Job Summary The purpose of the position is to complete skilled electrical work at the journeyman level. Work in this position involves other duties assigned including all duties described in the M2 and M3 job description. Essential Functions This job description is not designed to cover a comprehensive list of duties or responsibilities that are required. Essential functions may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without advanced notice that are a logical assignment to the position. Perform inside and outside wiring tasks on 110, 220, 440 volt secondary circuits.

Complete wiring, switching, and control work on primary circuits with voltage ranges of 2.4 KV through 12 KV.

Wire and troubleshoot for energy management systems and other electrically controlled systems.

Understand electrical one line, three line, schematics and detailed wiring diagrams.

Install and service a variety of electrical systems in all County facilities including, but not limited to, load centers, switch gears, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, and control circuits.

Service and install signal and automatic control systems. Install new secondary circuits at all County facilities.

Install video surveillance equipment.

Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Other duties as required. Minimum Training, Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. At least three (3) years of previous job experience and/or training is required with a thorough knowledge of tools, trade practices, and safety practices of this type of work. Certificates/Licenses Valid driver's license is required. Possess a technical school or Journeyman certificate in the field of Electrician Additional Details
