Job Description
About the Role As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and installation of complex wiring and instrumentation for high-performance machinery. By leveraging your expertise in electrical schematics and precision assembly, you will ensure the integrity and reliability of critical power systems and monitoring components. Responsibilities Interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical blueprints to execute precise electrical installations. Fabricate and install conduit systems, ensuring all mechanical and electrical components meet rigorous performance standards. Conduct high-voltage testing, including Hipot and Megger procedures, to verify the structural and electrical integrity of power cables and feedthroughs. Perform specialized leak detection and vibration analysis to ensure equipment meets operational safety benchmarks. Operate heavy machinery, including overhead cranes and forklifts, to safely manage materials and equipment during the assembly process. Troubleshoot electrical connections, utilizing diagnostic tools to identify and rectify voltage or resistance issues. Maintain detailed logs of assembly progress and report any equipment or material discrepancies to ensure continuous production flow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to finalize the wiring of large-scale industrial units for shipment. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints. Hands-on experience with soldering, conduit bending, and mechanical assembly. Strong understanding of high-voltage systems and safety protocols. Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and diagnostic test equipment. Preferred Skills Prior experience with specialized testing equipment like Helium leak detectors or DLRO meters. Certification or proven experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts. Background in industrial instrumentation or turbine/compressor assembly. Strong mathematical aptitude for calculating material needs and assembly specifications.
