Overview Join our dynamic team as a Residential Electrician and bring your expertise in electrical systems to residential settings. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within homes. Your skills will ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant electrical work that enhances the comfort and safety of our clients' living spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on experience. Duties Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and panels in residential properties. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to identify faults swiftly. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures to guarantee a safe working environment. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring for specialized appliances or systems when required. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment efficiently during installation and repair tasks. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to prevent potential hazards and ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a residential electrician with additional experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems preferred. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills essential for accurate installations. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Experience working on high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage systems within renovation or construction environments. Familiarity with industrial electrician practices including industrial electrical systems and schematics reading. Construction site experience with framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support. Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; additional certifications in industrial or commercial electrical work are advantageous. Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with strong attention to detail to ensure precise execution of all tasks.
