Full-time Bear Electric is a small, owner-operated electrical service company based in Leander, Texas. We primarily handle residential electrical service, troubleshooting, repairs, remodels, panel and service upgrades, EV charging, generators, and small projects throughout the Austin-area market. We are looking for an experienced electrician who can hit the ground running. This is not an entry-level position and is not a role where you will spend weeks riding along with another electrician. You should be comfortable being handed the keys to a company vehicle, receiving your schedule, communicating professionally with customers, diagnosing electrical problems, completing the work, and documenting and collecting payment for the job. What You'll Do Run residential electrical service calls and projects independently Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems Perform panel replacements, service upgrades, EV charger installations, generator-related electrical work, remodels, repairs, and general electrical installations Review the scope of work and communicate with the office when additional work or changes are needed Communicate professionally with homeowners and customers Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and jobsite Complete job documentation, photos, invoicing, and payment collection Work alongside an apprentice when assigned Occasionally assist with small commercial electrical projects Bear Texas Services / General Construction Work We also operate Bear Texas Services LLC, which handles general property repair, restoration, and construction-related work. When the electrical schedule allows, there may be opportunities to perform or assist with light general construction and handyman-type projects such as: Drywall repair and patching Painting and touch-up work Trim and minor carpentry Door and hardware replacement Fixture and equipment installation Minor demolition and repairs General property maintenance and punch-list work Electrical experience is the priority. Construction or handyman experience is a strong plus, but we are not looking to replace electrical work with handyman work. The ideal candidate is a skilled electrician who is also comfortable using his hands outside of strictly electrical projects when needed. What We're Looking For Strong residential electrical experience Ability to troubleshoot independently Ability to complete jobs without constantsupervision Professional communication and customer-service skills Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record Reliable and punctual Own basic hand tools and power tools appropriate for the trade Ability to work safely and maintain a professional jobsite Texas electrical license appropriate for the work performed General construction, remodeling, or handyman experience is a plus We are specifically looking for someone who can take ownership of a job from start to finish.
