Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician Journeyman to join our dynamic electrical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction and renovations to ongoing maintenance, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to keep electrical systems running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage circuits. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues quickly and efficiently. Perform wiring of electrical panels, fixtures, motors, and control systems in compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovation projects to install electrical infrastructure according to specifications. Troubleshoot complex electrical problems in industrial systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance records. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a valid journeyman license or equivalent certification. Extensive industrial electrician experience with knowledge of industrial electrical systems and high-voltage wiring. Commercial electrician experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with commercial electrical systems and blueprints reading. Strong understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools; voltmeters; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently using diagnostic tools like multimeters and PLC programming interfaces. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation projects or new builds within commercial or industrial environments. Knowledge of high-voltage systems and low-voltage control wiring is essential for this role. Strong safety awareness with adherence to all electrical safety procedures at all times. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to read technical schematics accurately. Additional handyman skills or frame carpentry experience are a plus for versatile project support.
