Lead Electrician/Foreman

Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated lead electrician to oversee electrical projects and manage a team of electricians. This candidate will work under our project manager and lead a team of electricians. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of commercial and/or residential electrical projects and the ability to effectively coordinate project schedules along with coordinating with other trades. This role is essential in ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians on-site to ensure project completion within deadlines. Utilize construction management skills to take a project from start to finish Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation processes. Strong troubleshooting skills Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all phases of electrical work. Conduct regular inspections of work performed by team members to maintain quality control. Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, including daily reports and material usage. Can lead electrical projects with little guidance from project manager. Requirements Proven experience in the electrical field or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations. Excellent skills in project scheduling including material ordering and deliveries. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills for managing teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all team members. Compensation Base hourly based on electrical field experience Potential for prevailing wage projects as we are one of two GSA certified electrical contractors in the state of WV 9 paid holidays after 90 days 2 weeks paid vacation after 1-year Insurance options with us covering up to $300.00 per month on plans 4 - 10 hour work days, a 3 day weekend every week Company vehicle from shop to job sites, all fuel and maintenance provided by us Any tools outside of typical hand and power tools supplied by us (ex. benders, hammer drills, threaders, ladders etc. by us) Drive time both ways to and from projects Career growth opportunities Options for out of town work with higher pay and per-diem If moving to the state of WV, we assist with earning a WV electrical license

$28.00 - $36.00 per hour
