Job Description

TWI is a growing steel fabrication shop in Benson, Arizona, with over 20 years of experience. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Steel Fabrication Shop Estimator to prepare accurate quotes for industrial fabrication, miscellaneous metals, ASME mechanical work, process piping, and tank projects while supporting a smooth transition from estimating to production. Key Responsibilities
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope.
  • Prepare material takeoffs and estimate labor, equipment, freight, and outside services.
  • Solicit vendor pricing and prepare clear, competitive proposals with appropriate clarifications.
  • Work closely with project management, detailing, purchasing, and shop operations during estimating and handoff.
  • Maintain organized bid records and support multiple estimates while meeting deadlines. Qualifications
  • Estimating experience in industrial fabrication, miscellaneous metals, ASME mechanical projects, process piping, or tank fabrication, including R Stamp, U Stamp, and S Stamp work, preferred.
  • Ability to read structural, mechanical, process piping, and tank drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes, steel materials, shop workflows, and API 650 and API 653 tanks.
  • Proficiency with Excel and estimating or takeoff software.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
This is a full-time position. Pay depends on experience, and benefits are available. We are looking for someone who is motivated, accurate, and ready to grow with our team.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
