JOB OVERVIEW
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for coordinating and preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, collaborating with all teams to ensure that all estimates align with company standards and client requirements. The Electrical Estimator plays a crucial role in securing new projects and supporting the successful execution of existing ones.
Requirements:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILIIES
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are adequately estimated and accounted for.
Research electrical project documents and analyze specifications.
Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling electrical project work.
Support value engineering, budgeting, and preconstruction pricing
Manage pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
Prepare estimates to meet project timelines, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
All estimates must comply with company standards and client requirements.
Make sure documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
Updated reports to management and keep clients updated on the project status.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams to ensure seamless project hand-off and conduct site visits when required.
You will own the full estimating process on commercial projects, from drawings to final bid.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of electrical estimating experience.
High School Diploma or GED
CT E-2 minimum
Experience in construction is required.
Experience with Thimble and Conest is preferred.
Knowledge of commercial, industrial, institutional and residential systems and wiring methods, techniques and costs Proficient knowledge of National Electric Code, and electrical calculations.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Proficient in AIA invoicing
Proficient knowledge of National Electrical Code, and electrical calculations.
